Beyond her professional career, Tandalea has devoted countless hours to volunteering through her church and community, serving in roles such as Sunday School teacher, youth leader, treasurer, and secretary. Her community involvement also includes service with UGA programs, County 4-H, and local schools. Tandalea brings a deeply personal understanding of recovery and mental health to her work. She has spent 14 years as the parent of a child with substance use disorder and has navigated her own mental health challenges earlier in life. This lived experience allows her to serve with empathy, compassion, and authenticity. At The Grace Foundation, Tandalea contributes not only in leadership and financial oversight but also by teaching essential life skills such as budgeting, credit repair, and financial responsibility—equipping residents with tools for long-term independence and stability. She is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Peer Specialist for Mental Health and Parent of a Child with Substance Use Disorder, further strengthening her ability to support residents and families in recovery. Tandalea is passionate about volunteering, sharing the love of Jesus, and advocating for individuals who need a hand up as they work toward meaningful, sustainable life goals.
